About Godly Glass (& Me)
I received a bachelors degree from Purdue University in Fine Arts and French. I subsequently spent 25 years in the corporate world, and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. Since retiring from my job in 1999, I have realized two lifelong dreams--to be a full-time artist and to live and work in Brown County, Indiana.
I first began working in stained glass in 1989, and occasionally made things for family and friends. Godly Glass officially began in July of 2000. My hobby of ten-plus years had officially "gone berserk". My first show seems like ages ago--I only had seven or eight different items to display. Since then, I have done many custom pieces and my show inventory includes over 50 unique designs, priced from $10 to over $1,000. I love to work with people to create a piece of art to complement their home’s décor.
My stained glass work is in the traditional copper foil
technique. Unique to my art is the integration of calligraphy and glass
etching
as design elements in the finished piece. Glass is a colorful medium
which combines structural and aesthetic elements that I enjoy.
Doing business as Godly Glass, my work is primarily Christian-themed, and ten percent of each sale is donated to Christian causes. My desire is to glorify God and represent the beauty of His creation.
